In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.

The mission centers on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
